Supplied new on 31st August 1989 by Allen Ford of Romford to a local gentleman who retained the car for some 31 years before giving up driving in December 2020.
This remarkably original Mk4 Escort is in fantastic condition throughout with the interior passable for being just a few years old.
The car has always been kept garaged throughout its entire life & appears to have never been welded, nor does it need any, having passed it's M.O.T in Feb 2021 without a single advisory ! - All common areas of concern such as battery tray, sills & boot floor are in completely sound condition.
All aspects of originality still remain present & in perfect condition with the original supplying dealer number plates & rear window sticker still displayed, both original keys & owners manuals. The spare wheel & tyre have never seen the light of day as can be seen in the pictures.
Having covered just 44,000 miles from new which can be backed up by the M.O.T history online, the car drives without fault with no untoward noises. There is a service book documenting the service history at the local garage who also MOT’d it from 2008 up to the most recent service in 2018 a few hundred miles ago.
Although not quite concours the body presents very well with only some minor surface rust to the lower wheel arch lips & drivers door bottom although I must emphasise this is being exceptionally critical - We just want to be totally open & honest with a car that is over 30 years old.
